As per circular no 1818- SWI 75/10451 dated 05.05.1975 enshrined in Manual of Reservation of Scheduled Caste and Backward classes in services part V issued by Govt. of Punjab Deptt. of welfare (Reservation cell) 2005, Para no 9. In the matter of direct recruitment, 50% of reserved vacancies for the members of Scheduled caste will be offered to the members belonging to Mazbhi Sikhs/ Balmikis, if available, as a first preference. In case of non-availability, the members of Others Schedule caste shall fill it.
